Waste Connections is making recycling simpler, smarter, cheaper and it’s catching on fast. They have brought RecycleBank to the residents of Wichita and everyone all over is rethinking their trash. Candy Fullerton and her family used to throw away 5 bags of trash; with ReycleBank, they realize how much of that is recyclable and how much that gets them in rewards!

Upsetting
The last couple of days that I’ve been walking the streets, it’s been very frustrating. Everywhere I go, there’s not only one or two pieces of trash , there’s trash along the curb on the grass, in piles, on bushes, on the sidewalk. I don’t understand why it’s so hard to dump something where it goes, if it has to be recycled, please recycle, if it is trash, please trash it. People complain about diseases, and pollution, and how we have no trees or grass. Obviously, if we don’t take care of it, the city wont care for your complaints and opinions.
We ourselves pollute our communities, with all the cars we own, trash just thrown on the street. Just know that if you are caught littering, you get a ticket, so think about it twice when you trash the streets. There are containers called trash bins, and if there’s not one in your sight, well, wait till you get to one!
We are ending this world, instead of being part of the problem please find out how you can help and be a part of the solution!

Sammy’s Art
It is amazing how childre express themselves through words, their minds and heart, and art. I was visiting my little four year old friend Sammy. His mom showed me his new art. And I noticed how artistic he’s become in the last year. He makes these abstract paintings and has really interesting names for his art piece. I think that children art is so amazing. It’s so innocent, and so humble and honest. They don’t try to create something, they just do. Their active minds just drive their hearts and mind to the brush and paint and onto the paper. It’s been awesome being Sammy’s friend, and watching him grow, and witness his creativity. Sammy I love you and hope that you can continue with your creativity and desire.

the vegetable orchestra
Way Cool. Check out their info. It’s awesome.
Worldwide one of a kind, the Vegetable Orchestra performs on instruments made of fresh vegetables. The utilization of various ever refined vegetable instruments creates a musically and aesthetically unique sound universe.

wow, were are really amazed about the flood of comments in the last hours. so thank you all for your kind and unkind comments. we really appreciated that! sorry that we can not answer all… it’s just too much!
just one word to all the people who are concerned about people dying of starvation:
we are concerned too. but not doing this project does change nothing. it doesn’t make the world a better place.
if you are really concerned about the distribution of wealth then do something about it! read books about the real cause of hunger. talk with your friends and family about it. change your own life and try to change politics. buy and support the right things. it is not people using vegetables differently than usual that make the world a bad place. it’s all of us wanting too much. our own car, a new cellphone, a bigger house with air condition, more money…
sending the vegetables to africa does not help. on the contrary it destroys the markets there, so people can not sell their own produce, because the imported one is too cheap.
and by the way: people have used vegetables for music for centuries. also in africa.

Then, let’s introduce the vegetable musical instruments that can have been done this time.
It is a carrot ocarina first.
And, it is an ocarina of a white radish in Japan that can have done this time.
The octave is geted down from the carrot ocarina.
The broccoli ocarina was made.
A good sound is not heard because only such a broccoli was obtained this time. And, a carrot ocarina of the slide type and this carrot ocarina is different the sound hole. When the breath is put here, something is heard. It shaped ..so…
The paprika was punctured. When the breath is put here, such a sound is heard. It is an owl. Carrot panpipe. When the breath is put in this, such a sound is heard. Similary asparagus panpipe was made. However, a good sound is not heard. It is a trumpet of the cucumber and the paprika in the end. There were musical instruments that looked alike also in the vegetable orchestra. Moreover, when musical instruments can be done, I introduces it. Thank you.

Valentines Market Sale At Ollin
I had a blast organizing a market sale for the upcoming LOVE holiday. It was fun meeting people and talking to them. Just exposing our hand made things and people loving that. We will have another market on Friday at Ollin from 1pm-4pm. If you have time, or your in town, and want some handmade things from L.A. Come see us at Ollin.
You can check out a map or address on Yelp.com for Ollin.
It was a good time of meeting up with L.A. St. Productions friends, talking with Veronica and Carlos, and hanging out with friends playing music, sharing music, making arte, selling crafts and just having a good time.
