EARTH DAY!!!!!!!
To those that do not know, today April 22, 2009 is Earth Day!!!!! In 1970 20 million people were gathered to celebrate this day to starting a movement that would benefit to help the environment and our health, and also to continue this for future generations. I remember being younger and helping plant trees for Earth Day. This Earth Day, join in on the celebration by recycling, saving water, saving energy, by carpooling, cleaning up your neighborhood, or planting a tree!!!!!
These are some of the things that we should normally be doing to make our planet cleaner and livable for each other. A cleaner earth means happier people, better air, less diseases, and a better home for us. This is your home, so take care of it. Join in on helping your world.

A New Adventure
For the last couple of days, I was painting the awnings at Ollin Cafe. I enjoyed the work, and am proud of my work. Their were a couple times of frustration, and annoyance. For instance, I worked on days where I had no idea that there was going to be wind. At times i felt like the wind was my enemy because it wouldn’t let me finish my work and I felt like I was going to be blown off the ladder. The ladder was scary, it took like 10 minutes to get on it. I was observing possible plans of how to drop on the floor, just in case the ladder tumbled. From this experience, I want to say that i don’t ever want to work on a ladder, but just seeing my work up there was awesome.
The hard part was to make both awnings identical. It was lots of work, lots of hours, but it was worth the time. I don’t know if I would ever do something like this again. It almost felt like live art at times. and at times i would forget about the height and the wind, and would just be inspired by the wonderful city, and the paint, and the big canvas I was privileged to work on.

Mexican Cultural Institute Art Gallery
Last weekend I went to the Mexican Cultural Institute Art Gallery that is located at Olvera Street. The show that is there will be there for a month, and if interested, you should go and check out the art work there. The artists featured were Johnny, Rene, Oscar, Santos and Brian, which are a couple members of the L.A. St. Production community. We are proud of you guys and your art is amazing. It is good to see people you know go out and explore and seek opportunities to do what they love.
So if you are around, check out their art, their is a wide selection of art for your eyes to experience.
